Overview of Our Service
Cloud9Global.com (“Cloud9Global”) is a subsidiary of Cloud 9 Productions LLC, a California limited liability company. The purpose of Cloud9global is to provide a forum for individuals sharing an interest in outdoor related activities to disseminate and receive information, and to communicate with each other. Individuals choosing to become members of Cloud9Global can set up personal profiles that can be linked together through networks of like-minded individuals interested in a variety of outdoor related activities. Cloud9Global members can view each others’ profiles, communicate through our service, share photos, videos, and express their views through our Articles section.

Cloud9Global members can change their profile information at any time including but not limited to comments, photos, videos and articles.

Type of Information We Collect
We will collect and use information about you to enroll you for membership and in response to your request for information, products, and services offered through this website. We will also collect information about you in order to contact you regarding your membership and to notify you about products, services, and other opportunities we think will be of interest to you. The information about you we collect may be of the following types:

  • Personal Information. Personal information means any information specifically attributable to you, such as your name, address, date of birth, Social Security Number, date of birth, driver’s license number, etc.
  • Demographic Information. Demographic Information, which may include Personal Information, refers to statistical information to categorize various populations, and includes your gender, zip code, occupation, level of education, and age.
  • Automatic Information. When you visit a website, your computer discloses certain information, such as your Internet Protocol (IP) address and the time of your visit. This site, like many other sites, records this basic information about visits to our site.

Sources of Information We Collect

  • Information Provided by You. We may collect any information you provide to us by entering it through our Web site or otherwise, including information you provide in enrolling for membership, and in maintaining your membership. You can choose not to provide certain information, but you may not be able to take advantage of our services and features. In addition, we may collect information from you when you register to receive communications from us or any of our business partners. Finally, we may collect information you provide us through telephone and Web based surveys, customer service correspondence, and general feedback.
  • Information We Receive from Third Parties. We might receive information about you from other online or offline sources and may add that information to your existing account and/or our database.

  • Non-Membership Access. You can view photos, videos, and read articles on Cloud9Global without having a Cloud9Global membership. You will not however have the opportunity to access information about, or communicate with, any of our members if you have not established a personal profile which includes your email address and a password. This is a necessary feature used to attempt to protect our members from unauthorized access to their accounts.
  • Membership Benefits. When you register to be a member of Cloud9Global, and provide us information about yourself and your outdoor interests, you will then be able to communicate and share ideas and specific information about outdoor sports activities with other members; we

When you register to be a member of Cloud9Global, and provide us information about yourself and your outdoor interests, you will then be able to communicate and share ideas and specific information about outdoor sports activities with other members, we will provide you the opportunity to participate in promotional opportunities, and you will also be eligible to receive our newsletters, updates and/or alerts regarding a variety of topics which relate to the Cloud9Global outdoors community. You may also have the opportunity to provide additional input on how Cloud9Global can improve in servicing your needs and interests by contacting us through feedback@cloud9global.com.
  • Content Uploaded to Site. Your post user content submitted to the Cloud9Global site is posted at your own risk. Any personal information, photos, video or articles which you voluntarily disclose online becomes publicly available and can be collected and used by others. In the interest of full disclosure, although Cloud9Global provides a differentiation of users versus non-users through their membership requirement, you must be aware that there are no perfect security measures, therefore, we cannot be held responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the site.

 

Web Site Use of Information

  • Similar to other commercial Web sites, Cloud9Global utilizes a standard technology called “cookies” and Web server logs to collect information about how Cloud9Global is being used.
  • A cookie is a very small text document, which often includes an anonymous unique identifier. When you visit a Web site, that site’s computer asks your computer for permission to store this file in a part of your hard drive specifically designated for cookies.   • Broadly speaking, we use personal information for purposes of administering and expanding our business activities, providing customer service and making available other products and services to our customers and prospective customers.   • We also use third parties to facilitate our business, including, but not limited to, sending email and processing credit card payments. In connection with these offerings and business operation, our partners and other third parties may have access to your personal information for use in connection with business activities.
  • As we develop our business, we may buy or sell assets or business offerings. Customer, email, and visitor information is generally one of the transferred business assets in these types of transactions. We may also transfer such information in the course of corporate divestitures, mergers, or any dissolution.
  • We strive to maintain your privacy, however, we will disclose user information should we have a good faith belief that disclosure is necessary (1) pursuant to lawful requests such as subpoenas, court orders, search warrants, (2) to maintain compliance with applicable laws (3) to protect Cloud9Global interests, (4) to prevent fraud and illegal activities being perpetrated through users of Cloud9Global, (5) to protect members and the public from imminent bodily harm. (6) We will share any/all information with private and/or public legal entities requesting information deemed necessary to protect the general public, our members and Cloud9Global legal interests.
  • If the ownership of Cloud 9 Productions LLC or its subsidiaries were to change, your ownership information may be transferred to the new owner so the service can continue operations.

  • We are not responsible for the practices employed by Web sites linked to or from our Web site nor the information or content contained herein. Often links to other Web sites are provided solely as pointers to information on topics that may be useful to the users of Cloud9Global.
  • Please remember that when you use a link to go from Cloud9Global to another Web site, our Privacy Policy is no longer in effect. Your browsing and interaction on any other Web site, including Web sites which have a link on our Web site, is subject to that web site’s own rules and policies.
